SONG FOR PAPA 

Oh, my Papa, my papa,
You took me fishing for bluegill,
And made for me cardboard box automobiles
With paper plates for wheels.

Oh, my Papa, my papa,
You gave me Tom Sawyer to read,
Showed me how to hit a ball, 
And taught me to love wisdom.

My Papa,
You gave me everything you had, and more. . .
You did the best you could
to make my life everything you dreamed for me-

And that is a great gift!
