A Prayer Our Mothers Taught Us: ____________________________________________________ “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.”
A Special Poem for You. . . ______________________________________________ Mother- Song Mother sings love and forgiveness; She loves the many-colored Light! She gives testimony with her love That the Light has many colors. And this is why she changes like a chameleon Capable of loving even the selfish. She will become whatever color she must in order to love them; And it does not compromise her to do so, Because she believes that underneath Everyone is the color of love. Mother sings many colors. I did not think one could sing colors, But I know now that colors can be sung, That hope and faith are the multi-colored songs of mothers, Chameleon-hued mothers, Seeking not to be consoled, but to console! -Michael D.
